New Release from Teresa Suydam!

On February 14th, 2020, electronic singer-songwriter Teresa Suydam released her very first single: “All I Care About is You.”

After many years gracing the stage with the vocal group Lark, soulful R&B band Emma Mayes & The HIP, and electronic production duo Mom N Dad, Teresa is stepping out on her own.

Teresa Suydam is a Denver-based artist with a unique blend of inspirations, notably animé, K-pop, and video game scores. Teresa has created a rare musicality that blends East and West. Her new single showcases her neon-animé fantasy, electro-pop vocal performance that the world has yet to experience.

“Experiment” a new single from Abby Butler

RootStrings co-op member extraordinaire and rising Limerick star, Abby Butler, has released her first single, and we think it’s pretty awesome.

“Experiment” is an original song exploring the pain of lost love. “This song is not aimed at anyone specifically,” says Abby, “But it definitely came from a place that most people probably have been in at some stage, that they feel they might have been lead on by a love interest and then dropped like a hot potato.”

Recorded at Open Door Studios in Limerick, Ireland with the expert assistance of Joe Mulcahy, “Experiment” is a catchy, heart-break song with elements of pop, jazz, and a particular snarky sadness that is all Abby’s own.

Listen to “Experiment” on YouTube or Spotify, and follow Abby on Facebook.

Artist of the Month: Claire Watts

Somehow it’s April already! We’re thrilled to announce the wonderful Claire Watts as our featured Artist of the Month. Claire is a shining talent based in beautiful Milltown Malbay on Ireland’s west coast.

Claire’s music is reminiscent of the landscape from which it comes. Her intense, emotional lyrics are cradled by lilting melodies and lush music. Her songs teeter between sweetness and nostalgia, familiarity and wildness.

Built on a foundation of traditional Irish music and a wide variety of musical training and influences throughout her career, Claire’s music is at once fresh and experienced. It is infused with a deep emotional undercurrent, which caused renowned Cork Singer-songwriter, John Spillane to remark that, “You’d have to have a heart of stone not to be moved by these songs.”

Her latest album, Landmark, was released in June 2018, and she is currently working on a new release for next year. Learn more about Claire on her website, and follow her on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter.

Take a listen to the title track of Claire’s latest album, and keep an eye out for more!
