Born in the South-East of Ireland, Sarah Bergin is a singer and dancer from Kilkenny. She has trained in classical music for over 5 years and as a hip hop dancer since the age of 13. While studying Voice and Dance at the University of Limerick since 2016 she has branched into other styles of singing and dancing such as pop, folk and jazz while maintaining her classical sound and contemporary dancing. Sarah also has great admiration for artists such as Olivia O’Brien, Billie Eilish and Jade Chynoweth.
She has received her Junior and Intermediate medals from the Royal Irish Academy of Music, and trained with Veronica McCarren who has been a major influence through her musical journey. One of Sarah’s most musical successes to date is her participation with the Presentation School Choir in Britain’s Got Talent 2016. The choir had the opportunity to sing for Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and David Walliams twice as they advanced into the semi-final in May 2016. Since Britain’s Got Talent, Sarah has been an active member in the choir now known as The Aris Celebration choir. They performed for Pope Francis when he visited Ireland in August 2018, and recently released their first album ‘This Is Us’.
Now in her third year of a BA in Voice and Dance at the Irish World Academy, Sarah is currently working on her first EP.
